theres actually been some great movies this year and zombieland has easily just strolled into my top 5. i gave it a few days to let the film seep into my head and i’m still gearing up for the zombie apocalypse at work. everything i look at turns into a weapon and i’m just waiting for some of my annoying co-workers to mutate so i can bash their heads in. take everything great about zombie flicks, a dash of imagination, a perfect cameo, sprinkle in some dark humor and you have zombieland. what else stands out besides the hilarious dialogue, character development, a decent ass zombie story along with all the other fantastic things? the type treatment is used well throughout the entire movie and the movie works as a whole. you won’t see something cool in the beginning and forget about it by the end of the movie, neither will you be overwhelmed with awesomeness that it becomes old real quick.
jesse eisenberg seems to play the same character from adventureland, but it fits perfectly into the world of zombieland. characters develop very well instead of focusing primarily on zombies. don’t worry though, you will definitely get your fix of zombie killing throughout the movie with a hilarious perspective of when shit hits the fan. this lines up the mood perfectly for the upcoming dead rising 2. check it out in theaters now!
